Spark and Angel Aligner are two clear aligner systems Cosmetique Dental offers alongside Invisalign. Both use removable, custom-made trays and treat a similar range of crowding, spacing and bite concerns. They differ in manufacturer, tray material and planning features. The same treatment path
Both begin with an assessment and digital scan, then a review of the simulated plan. Trays are worn for 20 to 22 hours a day and changed every one to two weeks, with regular reviews and retainers afterwards. Neither system is invisible.
The differences
Manufacturer
Spark comes from Ormco, a long-established orthodontic company. Angel Aligner comes from Angelalign Technology, founded in 2003 and headquartered in Shanghai.
Material
Ormco says TruGEN is designed for clarity and stain resistance. Angelalign describes masterControl S as a multi-layer material designed for steady force and tear resistance. These are manufacturer descriptions.
Planning features
Both support attachments and elastics. Angelalign describes an Intelligent Root System that can model roots and bone from CBCT and scan data, while Ormco’s Approver supports cut-outs, hooks and bite ramps. Not every case needs these features.
Which to choose
Neither is better for everyone. We recommend a system after your assessment and for some cases braces or a specialist orthodontist is the better option.
Cost

Your first clear aligner consultation is complimentary and interest-free payment plans are available through external providers, subject to approval.
Risks
