What they have in common
Both begin with an assessment and a digital scan, then a simulation of the planned movement, which is a guide rather than a promise. You wear each set of trays for most of the day, change them on schedule, attend reviews and wear retainers afterwards. Neither system is invisible.
Where they differ
Who makes them
Invisalign is made by Align Technology in the United States. Angel Aligner is made by Angelalign Technology, a clear aligner company headquartered in Shanghai and listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
Material
Angel trays use masterControl S, a multi-layer material, while Invisalign uses SmartTrack. Each manufacturer describes its material as designed for steady, controlled force.
Planning features
Angelalign describes angelButton hooks for elastics, angelAttach attachments and an Intelligent Root System that can use 3D x-ray (CBCT) data to model roots and bone. Invisalign has its own attachment and elastic options. Your dentist decides what your plan needs.
Are Angel aligners as good as Invisalign?
For suitable cases, both are established systems that can achieve planned tooth movement when worn as prescribed. The diagnosis, plan and how consistently you wear the trays usually matter more than the brand.
Cost
Our current price guide estimates Invisalign treatment at $4,200 to $8,990 and Spark or Angel Aligner treatment at $3,700 to $8,490. Within each range, your fee depends on your treatment plan. Your first clear aligner consultation is complimentary and interest-free payment plans are available through external providers, subject to approval.
Risks
All aligner systems carry similar risks, including soreness with new trays, temporary speech changes, gum irritation, decay if hygiene slips, root shortening and movements that are not fully achieved. Read about treatment risks, recovery and alternatives.
