Dental Check-ups and Cleaning at Cosmetique

During our dental check-ups and clean appointments, we will conduct a thorough and comprehensive exam of your teeth, mouth and gums. We will assess any possible decay, plaque or calculus that may have built up at this visit.

We always recommend attending dental exams and cleaning bi-annually to assess any acute or short-term changes to the teeth to prevent any worsening of those conditions. Like most things, prevention is more effective than treating issues down the track. Without assessment and treatment, a single filling may turn into a root canal or extraction or lead to further complications.

Your dentist will also inform you of any recommended future treatment, such as OPG x-rays, fillings or crowns to protect or repair your teeth and gums from further wear or decay. For any recommended treatment from your dentist, we offer flexible and interest-free payment plans that one of our friendly treatment coordinators can discuss with you.

Our comprehensive check-up and cleaning includes

A thorough examination and dental check-up, and an assessment of the teeth, mouth and gums
Removal of any plaque or tartar
Placement of fluoride
Completion of an OPG or bitewing X-ray (if needed)
A personalised treatment plan based on anything that your practitioner may find during your check-up and cleaning.
